Industrie eurozone krimpt nog harder

De industrie in de eurozone is in november nog harder gekrompen. Dit bleek maandag uit definitieve cijfers van S&P Global.
De inkoopmanagersindex voor de industrie daalde van 46,0 in oktober naar 45,2 in november, de laagste stand in 2 maanden.
“Deze cijfers ogen verschrikkelijk”, zei hoofdeconoom Cyrus de la Rubia van Hamburg Commercial Bank in reactie op de data. “Het lijkt wel of de recessie in de industrie in de eurozone nooit ophoudt.” Tekenen van herstel zijn er volgens de econoom niet. En dat is ook geen opbeurend nieuws voor 2025.
Een indexstand groter dan 50 wijst op groei, terwijl minder dan 50 krimp betekent.
