Schuldenplafond VS mogelijk in augustus al bereikt

Het schuldenplafond van de Amerikaanse overheid zal naar verwachting in augustus of september al worden bereikt. Dat meldde het begrotingsbureau CBO van het Amerikaanse Congres woensdag.
De limiet aan de overheidsschuld, die niet wettig kan worden overschreden, werd op 2 januari vastgesteld op 36,1 biljoen dollar.
