Britse economie groeit fractioneel

De Britse economie is in het vierde kwartaal van 2024 licht gegroeid. Dit maakte het Britse statistiekbureau vrijdag bekend.
Het Britse bruto binnenlands product steeg met 0,1 procent, zoals een eerste raming ook al liet zien. In het derde kwartaal maakte de economie nog een pas op de plaats.
De dienstensector en de bouw droegen 0,1 en 0,3 procent bij, terwijl de productie met 0,4 procent kromp.
Op jaarbasis bedroeg de groei in het vierde kwartaal 1,5 procent.
